Delivered a Privilege Speech in celebration of National Arts Month

The talent has never been the problem, it’s the ecosystem that needs to catch up.

Today, in celebration of the National Arts Month, I delivered a privilege speech to share that while our artists are conquering the global stage, our local infrastructure is still operating in borrowed spaces and broken systems.

As Chair of the Special Committee on Creative Industries, I am committed to turning our laws into reality. From purpose-built venues to regional access in creative places, it’s time we build the world-class foundation our Filipino talent deserves.
