Skills and Training are the real game-changers! I met with TESDA liaison officers to discuss how we can empower our LGUs to institutionalize the TVET system, making skills training and employment opportunities sustainable for our people. We also explored the creation of a TVET Interlocal Zone that will bring together LGUs, TESDA, DepEd, HEIs, and industry partners in the Third District of Negros Occidental to address skills mismatch and ensure training leads to real jobs. I fully support TESDA’s initiatives, especially in guiding our LGUs to pass ordinances that strengthen local councils, designate coordinators, secure budgets, and establish training hubs down to the barangay level. Together, let’s make skills the bridge to a better future!
