Congressman-elect Javi Benitez Takes Oath of Office

Third District Congressman-elect Javier Miguel Benitez officially took his oath of office before Hon. Dyna Doll Chiongson-Trocio, Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court in Silay City, June 5. Joining him during the ceremony was his mother, President and Founder of the Nikki Cares Foundation Inc. Dominique Lopez-Benitez. Javi Benitez, who currently serves as Mayor of Victorias City, is set to bring a fresh, youth-driven approach to the House of Representatives. At only 30 years old, he becomes one of the youngest lawmakers in the 20th Congress, representing Negros Occidental’s Third District, which covers the cities of Silay, Talisay, and Victorias and the municipalities of Murcia and E.B. Magalona. His official assumption of office at 12:01 p.m. on June 30, 2025, marks the beginning of a new chapter in his political career, reflecting both continuity and innovation in public service.
